July has been a challenge. A fun challenge, but a change of routine nonetheless. I was working on social media posts this morning and came across this. It stands on its own, but of course my writer brain went, “Ohhhhhhhhh. Think further outside the box.”
It’s no secret that Awakening In The Dark has been a hard book to write. I’ve had to stop trying to fix it and focus on world building to try to jiggle the pieces into place. I’ve had to let go of what I thought the book was supposed to be so I can write the actual book.
Change your thoughts, Wendy, and change Balphrahn.
Sometimes you need to shake things up to grow. One of the side benefits of this is increased curiosity of Balphrahn and its history. I’ve started a list of things to explore through short stories once I get this dang blasted novel written. It’s the light at the end of my tunnel.
No, it’s not a train. There are no trains in Balphrahn.
